Figma skills

Two skills. One makes components AI-ready. The other fills them.

Block works through two Figma skills you install in the Figma agent. They handle everything — no scripting, no configuration.

block-create

Makes a component AI-ready.

Point the Figma agent at any component and describe its inputs. Block saves the schema. Run once per component.

1

Select a component in Figma

Any component in your design system

2

Describe its inputs to the agent

e.g. "title (text), badge (text), featured (boolean)"

3

Block saves the schema

The component is now AI-ready

Run once per component.

block-update

Fills components every time.

Describe a scenario to the Figma agent. Block reads the schema and populates every instance with real data.

1

Describe what you want

e.g. "Fill the Hero with product launch copy"

2

Block reads the schema

Only the input names and types — not the raw file

3

Components fill with real data

Canvas writes happen through Block — not raw layers

Works with any AI agent.

Used together

One-time setup. Runs every prompt.

Once per component

block-create

Run when you first set up a component. Saves the schema. Never needed again unless you change the component structure.

Every prompt

block-update

Run whenever you want to fill components with content. Works with any prompt, any component that has a Block schema.

The full setup is a plugin and two skills.

Install once. No configuration. No code.
